I need to say “thank you” to each and every one of you who have stopped to say how sorry you were about the loss of Sam. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Your kindness has truly touched my heart. And the cards were so special — to read a personal thought and heartfelt sorrow — was so amazing.

Carson, Greene square off in HD 45 debate
After the League of Women Voters Forum ended Thursday night at the Albany County Public Library, it was clear that Republican challenger Matt Greene and Democratic Representative of House District 45 Seth Carson would represent their constituents in ways more different than similar.

Open Space Preservation Sought on Mill Road
The Aurora Town Board unanimously endorsed the town Open Space Committee’s efforts to secure 60 acres of land on the west side of Mill Road, which includes 1,612 feet of frontage and is part of the Southtowns Scenic Byways route. The committee plans to seek “alternative funding sources outside the local tax base.”
