This website provides online visitors an amazing insight into the report writing process with free content and with recommendations for providing the home inspection client with valuable useful information while minimizing the inspector’s liability.
Empirical Data Solutions announces the launch of this new website www.InspecProWriter.com. This new website is designed to provide training for Home Inspectors on the proper way to write and prepare Home Inspection Reports. The website features Report writing guides, free Inspection Check List Template, “How to’s”, and information collected from consumers and industry participants.
Of the hundreds of consumer complaints I have reviewed, 90% could have been truncated with a proper written home inspection report, not a report loaded with meaningless disclaimers, but a report with honest information. Also available to beginning inspector members is a Free Home Inspection report template for their use in preparing property reports and to all is a guide to “Defensive Report Writing”.
Originally conceived by Robert T. Johnson in 2008 after of years of employment as an American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Compliance Certification Verifier. After reviewing hundreds of inspection reports it became obvious that many new inspectors, self-taught, attending schools and years of experience as a contractor or engineer lacked the knowledge to prepare a properly written reports as to the report’s content. Further research and numerous interviews with inspectors, their clients, software producers confirmed these observations.
